About
Meet Terry
Terry Christopher, MS, ThM, MDiv, LPC. Licensed Professional Counselor in Central Point, Oregon.

In his own words
"I seek to be a merchant of hope on your journey to the life you deserve."
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. I have over 30 years of experience walking alongside people, first in pastoral ministry and now as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon.
I enjoy helping individuals live the fullest and freest possible life they desire. I could not imagine doing anything else for a career, and I derive the greatest satisfaction in seeing individuals who may feel broken and fragmented made whole again.
On a personal note, I have been married for 30 years, have three grown daughters and one granddaughter. I have lived in the Rogue Valley for 16 years, and I enjoy reading, hiking, good conversations, and spending time with my granddaughter.
Approach
My approach
I believe everyone can reach an optimum state of health. To get there, I use an eclectic therapeutic approach with a strong reliance on emotional focus and well being. The evidence based modalities I use most are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy (CT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
I believe a collaborative alliance between counselor and client is the heart of good therapy. I seek to provide a safe, supportive, and non judgmental atmosphere where you can begin to explore healing and strengthening of body, mind, emotions, and spirit. My focus is client centered, with a strong emphasis on empathy for the journey you have been on and the one you want to take.
I believe in hope for every client. My goal is to create a space where together we explore your concerns and goals, discover your strengths, and move toward the life you envision.
