Who I help with conflict
Couples who have the same argument on repeat. Parents and adult children who have not spoken in months. Co parents trying to raise kids across two households. Business partners, ministry teams, and church leaders whose disagreements are threatening the work they care about. Sometimes one person comes alone because the other will not, and we work on what you can change from your side.
My approach
I spent decades in pastoral leadership before becoming a licensed counselor, and a large part of that work was sitting between people who were hurt and angry. I learned that beneath almost every conflict are two people who feel unseen. Resolution comes when each person can name what they actually need and hear the other person's need without going to war over it.
In sessions we slow the conversation down, identify the pattern you get stuck in, and practice a different way through it. You will leave with concrete skills for the next hard conversation, not just a good feeling about this one.
Faith communities and ministry teams
Conflict inside a church or ministry carries its own weight, because the stakes feel spiritual as well as personal. With a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology behind my counseling license, I understand that world and can help teams work through disagreement in a way that honors both the relationships and the mission.
